Building New Learning Pathways
When learning differences are not diagnosed or understood, the learner develops coping mechanisms to navigate his/her learning journey. Some of these strategies may be helpful and others can create obstacles to success. I have found that once we identify what challenge is "keeping the learner up at night," we can then find specific tools to help the individual overcome the problem. Once learners find success and gain confidence in building a new learning pathway, they can apply this process to other obstacles that come up in the future. This is a hero's journey and it is important to remember...

Trust How Your Dots Will Connect...
When I go back and connect the dots through my life, I can see that each obstacle presented could be considered a dot. Every dot that I encountered on my journey was an opportunity to better understand myself. This has been the key to positive growth and development in my personal and professional life. As Steve Jobs shared in his quote below, I cannot see where my dots will take me, but I understand now that part of the journey in reaching my full potential, is pushing through and trusting that those dots will connect in my future. Connecting the dots guarantees that I never stop learning, growing and moving forward and helps me to trust in the unfolding of life.
